@RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @amoginfinity @azaleadvo your challenge was defending donut's "women rarely get high ranks" claim - that's the whole context of this thread. the question only makes sense as a test of that generalisation, otherwise why ask it

@RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @amoginfinity @azaleadvo if women face documented harassment in those scenes, the absence of dominant women there isn't evidence about ability, it's evidence the scenes are hostile. that's the ecological fallacy the whole thread's been pointing at

@RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @amoginfinity @azaleadvo "less popular in my circle" != "not relevant" - sc2's been top tier esports for 15+ years with global tournaments and big prize pools. and you acknowledged harassment which i appreciate - but that IS the point

@RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @amoginfinity @azaleadvo holy get me on polymarket: x.com/devous_/status…. "rarely" isn't "never" - one example disproves "rarely". and picking specific games where women aren't dominant doesn't prove the generalisation, especially when those scenes have well documented harassment issues

@RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @amoginfinity @azaleadvo if i gave you an example you'd say "nah they're not relevant" "nah they didn't really dominate"

@amoginfinity @RealB1gG @Simply_Merlin @azaleadvo regardless of the fact you're moving the goalposts, scarlett is a starcraft 2 pro beating men in solo 1v1 pro competitions

@RealB1gG @amoginfinity @Simply_Merlin @azaleadvo no one said his claim was factually inaccurate, just that the generalisation and ecological fallacy is poor logic at best, sexism at worst. you're asking for logic but dismissing the logical critique as "labels", the fallacies ARE the logic
