Big meta-analytic findings!!! The GRE’s ability to predict graduate outcomes has decreased significantly over time as the diversity of graduate students has increased. Predictive value also decreases as samples include more People of Color. dx.doi.org/10.1080/002215…
@dffeldon @sadcat_labIU WOW. I followed this to see how quickly people would troll and it did not disappoint
@dffeldon With you on the GRE's uselessness. So will the school you teach at be dropping the GRE requirement it currently has?
@dffeldon Mirrors research on predictive value of SAT and ACT ability to predict undergraduate outcomes.
@dffeldon You neglected to include a column in your data for "Valid/Invalid for purposes of assessing validity" based on conditioning on a collider in your clearly non-comprehensive meta-analysis. I've gone ahead and done the first page out of 18 for you: all studies were invalid.
@dffeldon 30 yrs ago, all it predicted for anyone was whether or not a person would finish grad school.
