TikTok is now enabling businesses to create their own hashtag #AI virtual characters through the new marketing platform, "Symphony." These digital avatars can promote and sell products via live streams around the clock. However, there's a significant catch: The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires all promotions to reflect the genuine beliefs of the promoter, including virtual influencers. If an AI avatar claims to love a product without disclosing that it’s not a real person and hasn’t used the product, it could be violating the law. This adds another layer of legal complexity to the use of AI in marketing.

Can We Already Call it an AI Revolution? AI has made tremendous progress, transforming various aspects of our lives. But does it warrant the label of a full-fledged revolution? Arguments For: - Unprecedented technological advancements in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision. - Significant impact on industries like healthcare, finance, and transportation. Arguments Against: - Limited general intelligence, lacking human judgment and cognitive abilities. - Dependence on high-quality data, which can be scarce, biased, or inaccurate. - Ethical concerns like job displacement, bias, and privacy issues. Conclusion: While AI has made significant progress, it's essential to acknowledge both its achievements and limitations. The term "revolution" might be premature, but AI's impact is undeniable. As we move forward, responsible AI development and deployment are crucial to ensure its benefits are equitably distributed and its negative consequences are mitigated.

You ask ChatGPT and other AI tools about the NBA 2024 finals, and they all say the same thing: "I can't predict future events." But, surprisingly, other AI services that provide data to betting apps like FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and even ESPN BET are singing a different tune:
