The tour has come to the end! What a month from traveling with my friends and getting stuck at airports & cancelled flights, to driving 30 hours with my mom and gf, to traveling alone to LA, to top it off 4 hours away from home with all of our Dallas Thugs. Vamos Rayas todavia!

If Diego Simeone manages to win the UEFA Champions League this season, it completely changes his legacy not just at Atletico Madrid, but in football history as a whole. Because let’s be honest, the only thing missing from Simeone’s story is that one UEFA Champions League crown. He’s already built an identity, a dynasty, even without having the financial power of Real Madrid or Barcelona. He’s broken their duopoly, won La Liga titles, reached multiple finals, and made Atletico one of the most feared knockout teams in Europe. But winning the Champions League? That elevates him into a different tier entirely. Now you’re no longer debating whether he’s “underrated” you’re putting him in the same sentence as Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, and José Mourinho. Managers who didn’t just build teams, but conquered Europe. And the manner would matter too. If he does it his way suffering, discipline, defensive structure, emotional intensity then it becomes one of the most iconic triumphs ever. Because in an era dominated by positional play and high-possession systems, Simeone winning would be proof that there’s more than one way to reach the top. It would also rewrite Atletico’s history. No more “nearly men.” No more 2014 heartbreak, no more 2016 pain. That narrative dies instantly. Instead, they become a club that endured, suffered, and finally conquered Europe on their own terms. And for Simeone personally? He goes from a great manager… to a mythical one. Because very few coaches in modern football have taken a club, reshaped its identity so deeply, and then completed the journey with the biggest prize in club football. If he wins it this season, you’re not just talking about a trophy. You’re talking about one of the most complete managerial stories the game has ever seen.
