I know this is a VERY broad question, but, typically speaking, if you buy and play a game, then move on from it, do you go back to it later to play future updates, DLCs, etc? I'm talking about many months to a year+ later for updates and games that aren't usually live service.
@diffusemoose As others have said, depends on the game and replayability and my interest in it. There are games I find only fun to play with homies and or compete with homies (In a friendly way, like I see someone going ham in a game I can enjoy I wanna play it now suddenly).
@diffusemoose It's a rare occurrence for me to go back to an updated game depending on what all got added. If it's something that drastically changes it and warrants a new playthrough I do, but if it's tweaks and small doses of content I usually hold off on it
@diffusemoose Gonna echo what I've seen others say. It depends on the game itself. If it's some generic sports game that gets released then it's a straight up no. If it's a single player game or a game with both single and multiplayer aspects like Skyrim for the former, or Borderlands (1/2)
@diffusemoose For a game I really enjoyed. I will go back if any big DLC drop for it in the future. Sometimes I'm wrapped up in other games and it takes awhile. An example would be the Elden Ring dlc. I haven't played that yet. So it's always a nice bonus when I eventually go back.
@diffusemoose I once loaded up a years-old Disgaea save 3/4 through the game and finished off the game when I heard the sequel was nearly out. As long as I haven't exhausted a game I may come back.
