Dancing Lord Ganesh - Central Archaeological Museum Gujari Mahal, Gwalior 11th Century CE - Kacchhapghat period Made in Yellow sandstone, Eight handed Lord Ganesh is shown in dancing posture, holding axe, lotus, tooth. Modak in four hands, remaining are in Vitark Mudra hand down, Gajhast (dancing pose) and one rest at waist. His vehicle Mooshak is carved below behind his legs. Two men playing musical instruments are depicted on either side at the bottom 2. Nritya Lord Ganesh, 10th century - Rani Durgavati Museum Jabalpur This is an excellent sculpture of an eight-armed dancing Lord Ganesha. In Ganesha’s upper right and left hands is a serpent, and in the other arms an axe, tusk, a modak are depicted. 3. Panchmukhi Lord Ganesha (Heramb Ganesha) 9th century CE - State Museum Bhopal The five faces of the Panchamukhi Lord Ganesha are symbols of the five elements (earth, water, fire, sky, air). In the central trunk of the five-faced Lord Ganesha is an akshamala (rosary). The deity is four-armed: in the upper right hand he holds a parashu (axe), and in the upper left hand a serpent. Lord Ganesh is depicted wearing a crown adorned with a beaded plaque. Across his shoulder he wears a serpent as the yajnopavita (sacred thread), along with an adhovastra (lower garment). 4. Nritya Lord Ganesh, Central Museum Indore This four-armed image of Lord Ganesha, made of sandstone, is in a dance posture. In one hand he holds his own tusk. Among the ornaments are karanda-mukuta, necklace, keyura, serpent yajnopavita, katisutra, and uruddama.
