Parents have the God-given right to guide their children's education. As the father of five kids, I know each of my children learned differently. What works for one doesn't work for all. Here's one of the most overlooked and simultaneously one of the most consequential wins Idaho had in 2025... SB1001 (Anti-SLAPP bill). It passed BIGLY. I'm proud to have worked with Idaho's favorite conservative lawmaker @HeatherScottID, the Legal Counsel for the Administrative Office of the Idaho Courts, Idaho's Uniform Law Commissioners (and a few others) to perfect and pass this bill, ensuring it’s just right for our state. I sent a letter to the Mayor of Boise regarding the City’s defiance of House Bill 96. The law prohibits the display of unauthorized flags by government entities on government property. I reminded the Mayor that no public official has the authority to disregard laws they disagree with and asked her to comply.

Self-described socialists Bernie Sanders and AOC are visiting Idaho today. What they won’t mention is what their policies have produced in other states: high crime, radical gender ideology in schools, and attacks on the Second Amendment and parental rights. Idaho is thriving because we reject their agenda and stand for freedom, families, and the rule of law.
