The rain has been keeping our crews busy around the clock. It also activates some of our green infrastructure. Here stormwater runoff feeds the extensive rain gardens at the newly-built Southeast Community Center where we led the design, construction and greenspace creation.

The thing is that peoples experience Is. Their. Own. Just let them be already. I totally understand the value and need for identity politics. But it also breaks my heart. Can we not just fucking give everyone else a break for a minute and just focus on ourselves? Seriously.

Something I’ve learned w/ my age and experience: It’s not always necessary, or sometimes even wise, “to work things out” w/ others in my life. More and more I’m finding that it makes more sense to just meet them where they are and set my boundaries/ expectations accordingly.

Just like food or air, Interdependence is required for survival. The Privilege of wealth fools people into believing they can survive on their own. In the end they will see how untrue this is. But by then it will be too late for all of us. #HubrisOfPrejudice
