Clearly didn't win Lords vs Commons pigeon race. Devastated. Perhaps my pigeon still flying or was got at by the falcons living at the top of Victoria Tower. Will carry on fighting for @CombatStress Great charity.

Extraordinary fact. #HaroldWilson was last British PM to leave in own time. Only one in last 80 years. All rest hacked, chopped, dragged out of @10DowningStreet leaving fingernails in carpet. We never know when our time is up. Et tu, Theresa?

Spent several days with #HaroldWilson @FletcherSchool in 70’s after he was thrown out @10DowningStreet. Famous in public for his pint and pipe, in private insisted on brandy and cigars! Enjoyed his company.

Sad to hear death of Mary Wilson, former PM’s wife. Fan of original @HouseofCards. She once wrote to me denying rumours she and Harold had china ducks on wall @10DowningStreet! One of toughest jobs, being spouse of PM. Eh, Sam?
