i honestly don’t think liking Prometheus (or Alien Covenant) should even be an unpopular opinion at this point. they’re thrilling Ridley Scott sci fi movies with intelligent ideas and hardcore action horror. in any year they’d be in the top of genre for me. terrific films

@dominicknero the films would be perfect if they weren't still clinging on to the alien mythos so much. it's what hamstrung the original (eh, a few of the characters were total morons), and sideswiped covenant as ridley just wedged in an aliens redux within the david(s) arc(s).
@dominicknero Always loved it. Never understood the disdain for this movie. But then again, I also like 3, and 4, so I probably can't be trusted 😬
@dominicknero I of course 100% agree with this. But there is no debating Prometheus, which I love, had gaping and baffling plot holes/missteps. Such things don’t ruin a good movie, but they certainly contribute to a certain perception
@dominicknero Never understood the hate for #prometheus in particular. I loved it, and can't wait for the new Alien. Also, someone please bring back #RaisedByWolves
@dominicknero I would prefer that the Xemomorphes were presented as Slaves in another Alien planet by an unknown Alien race ,and then somehow they revolted or set free than the Lackluster and poor explanation that Ridley Scott offered and pretty much doomed the franchise .....
@dominicknero The Alien mythos was Shrinked by the whole Human intervention /consequence thing and that was a terrible mistake by Ridley Scott ,which in my opinion doomed the franchise and its prospects .Aa simple movies ok ,you can watch them - but alien origin should Have remained unknown
@dominicknero They were awful films and if you disagree you never saw the original alien movies In Prometheus they had technology that was way more advanced than what they had in the original
