@Rhapsodypride I understand the pronouns issue, but misgendering is not apocalyptic— I support anti-hate speech laws but misnaming gender, which is inherently fluid (or does not exist because it’s a construct) is not hate speech. The ‘victim’ should have more autonomy than to be so offended

@Rhapsodypride There is a case to be made for right wing (esp. libertarian) transgendered folks because it’s intrinsically individualistic— it’s just when it’s wrapped in authoritarian collectivist identity politics it becomes hypocritical.

@ungeometer But when every book is a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure with a #girlboss protagonist does your organization method really matter? 🤔

@Rhapsodypride I think the majority don’t think that far into it, esp. when it comes to identity politics— its an easy means to cheap social capital while appearing learned, while their theory generally doesn’t run too deep

@Rhapsodypride I find that it’s mostly because it’s easy to ascribe to leftist values purely on a moral basis (and feels good and virtuous) whereas conservatism is easily rejected as amoral, but upon actual analysis has a more significant foundation than it’s given credit for.

@Rhapsodypride I’m generally left leaning, but the right is continually proving to be more open to discussion and rigorous in their philosophy and argumentation. Everything is a witch hunt on the left.

@JoJolyne_ @shay_guy @remembrancermx @loudpenitent I don’t report or block people because I don’t believe in needless censorship. Go ahead and poke fun at me, maybe we’ll both get a laugh out of it

@JoJolyne_ @shay_guy @remembrancermx @loudpenitent Disney fanaticism doesn’t hold the same level of gravitas as religious belief, sorry. No persecution or genocide has ever been committed over that so I think it’s fair game for poking fun.

@JoJolyne_ @shay_guy @remembrancermx @loudpenitent Not fumbling, I know how I feel. Original point of this was to explain the Christian (and secular) perspective and ask for tolerance of our beliefs, but that got me mobbed with claims of antisemitism and blocked. Ideology is a strong drug, esp. the progressive left brand.

@JoJolyne_ @shay_guy @remembrancermx @loudpenitent Heard it before, don’t care. I have interests beyond reliving my childhood and attending a bi-annual vacation to Disney world. Mock me as galaxybrained but I think fixation on childhood pastimes isn’t healthy.

@shay_guy @JoJolyne_ @remembrancermx @loudpenitent No I generally dislike Disney for a number of good reasons, and find any sort of fanatic insufferable, especially when it’s one of a childhood corporate indoctrination that remained into adulthood.

@shay_guy @remembrancermx @loudpenitent Which is why I denounced the violent imposition of Christian values. I’m not a crusader, I believe the Bible has objective secular literary value. Proselytism is wrong on all levels, and violent religious extremists are doing a disservice to their faith.
