After coding for many years, I’ve realized I don’t enjoy it as much as I once did, because of the vibe coding. Before, everything felt like it was in my hands. I had to think deeply, wrestle with problems, and when I finally cracked a tough challenge, I felt a genuine sense of accomplishment. Now, I catch myself relying on AI more and more, and when I finish a feature, the pride isn’t quite the same, because in the back of my mind, it feels like the AI built most of it. Does anyone else feel this way?
@doomprogrammer I get that. Vibe coding can speed things up, but sometimes it steals the “battle scars” that made the win so satisfying. I try mixing in pure solo builds now and then just to keep that spark alive
@doomprogrammer Def understand where you coming from. The satisfaction, the feeling of accomplishment isn’t there when AI just does it all.
