@txbzbzbxb @Boisabronco EVERYONE KNOWS?? You need to read the rules. This is never a catch. If Broncos don't come up with ball, it's incomplete - not a catch!

@Swingtheclubken @GolfDigest Ken, you & I are same age & golfing for 60+ years. You should attend USGA rules seminar & get certified. I did that about 8 years ago & now work numerous high level events as Rules Official. I truly enjoy it & you might also.

@Swingtheclubken @GolfDigest Two top notch rules officials came to same conclusion. Temporary water is defined as VISIBLE water on the surface of the ground before or after player takes their stance. Wet or mushy grounds in and of itself does not meet this standard.

@BrunoBeidacki Would you rather have "pay per view" with no commercials? Got to pay for it somehow?

@Swingtheclubken @GolfDigest Yes but it MUST meet the official definition of temporary water. Read the definition in the Rule Book. One of the best referees in the US ruled it didn't meet the definition.

@Swingtheclubken @GolfDigest Yes water flew when he hit it. But that's not a factor in determining temporary water. Look up definition in Rule Book.

@Swingtheclubken @GolfDigest This is not what I saw on TV. This video was taken after the fact and after more rain. 2 referees saw what I saw and said no relief. Do you think they purposely cheated Sam?

@notthefakeSVP @Benson_020 His situation didn't fit the temporary water definition in Rule Book. Right call was made IMO.

@GolfDigest @KylePorterNS As noted in the rules, “It is not enough for the ground to be merely wet, muddy or soft or for the water to be momentarily visible as the player steps on the ground; an accumulation of water must remain present either before or after the stance is taken.”
