A great idea might come from anyone at any time. Don't reject a brilliant new take just because it delays stuff too much. Of course, every situation is unique, and that shouldn't stop you from having your doors always open.
Key tricks to help you keep up. - Track tech metrics with business KPIs; slow load times kill growth. - Monitor user feedback. Your opinion matters, but users are the final jury. Quality isnāt a checklist; itās a culture PMs set.
The top 10% of products capture 80%+ of new users & grow 9Ć faster. But hereās the twist: thereās no correlation between acquisition and retention. If your product doesnāt hook users in week 1, the funnel is a leaky bucket.
Great products donāt just launch. They evolve. Feedback is the fuel. Ignore it, and you stall.
PMs donāt just ship features. They ship adoption plans. No distribution = no launch.
Most failed AI products start with a simple mistake where they treat AI as just more software. On the surface, AI looks like the next act in the same software story. In reality, it breaks the script. Most teams only notice once theyāve already built the wrong thing. Every techā¦
In the AI era, the old PM joke, āsolution looking for a problemā, isnāt funny anymore. Itās reality. Teams build shiny AI features first, then scramble for use cases. Discipline beats hype. Always.
The reason Alloy caught my eye as an effective tool: ā Prototypes that match your existing product ā 1-click idea capture from the browser ā Chat to refine prototypes fast ā Share with teams & customers ā 30+ integrations (Jira, Notion, Linear, etc.)

PMs who avoid giving bad news always lose. Why? Because the truth comes out anyway, just later, uglier, and with your credibility destroyed. Rip the band-aid. Fast, clear, accountable.
The most underreported fact about AI: it has already started automating the kind of work no one will miss. Most of the conversation still circles around AGI timelines, speculative scenarios, and whether machines will ever think like us. This focus hides the obvious fact that weā¦
The future isnāt man vs. machine. Itās man with machine.
AI flipped the table. PMs can test and visualize concepts in minutes, without derailing the team. Tools like Lovable or Bolt are greatā¦ But they mainly work for new products. And 98% of PMs? Weāre building features into existing ones.
The PM who can deliver bad news without losing trust? Thatās the real senior skill. Anyone can brag about wins; few can handle the losses.
Don't sugar-coat anything. Trying to wrap the message in confusing corporate jargon or pretending that the issue is for the best will only further confuse and anger other parties. Say how things are, and let's move on to find a solution together!
Travel & hospitality is back: - Top 10% retain 25% of users by month 3. - Financial services? ~19.5%. - E-comm leaders? ~18.9%. Media & entertainment? Still shrinking. Early value delivery separates winners from losers.
Most people arenāt aware how gifted product people enjoy obsessively thinking about their product, even when they are not actively working. Itās a near-constant train of ideas, questions, simulations engaging their mind, every minute. This cannot be taught, itās who you are.
Sometimes I feel like product management is the only job where you have to apologize for being right more often than you get to celebrate it
