If I told you that the person who will cure cancer is in your class right now, and needs you to unlock that part of their brain, would you approach your students differently today? Be genuine in your teaching of a child, and make every moment count!
One of the most powerful things a genuine leader can do is cultivate an “all in '' sense of purpose. Mountains can be moved when everyone is committed!
Functional teams provide a genuine value to moving the educational needle. Varying voices within the alignment of a common focus provide balance and worth in the decision-making process.
Stay positive and focused! At the end of the day, whether amazing or # 2 on your list of top 10 worst days ever, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and affirm that the decisions you made today were genuinely focused on the child. Know that your actions made a difference!
Teacher personalities and perceptions guide their approach to teaching, and their implementation of teaching practices. To effectively lead them, you must first get to know them on a genuine level. It is in that connection that you have true influence over educational outcomes.
Genuine Leaders use a straightforward and honest approach in doing what really matters to elicit positive student outcomes. They ensure both academic rigor and relevance are occurring in the classroom, while supporting teachers and students on this daily journey towards success.
A Genuine Leader makes it a point during this holiday season to acknowledge and celebrate their staff for their relentless pursuit to reach and teach every child! Without their passion and commitment, the child suffers.
Sometimes the best decision a leader can make is to allow someone else to lead. A Genuine Leader understands that one does not lose control or power by allowing others to make decisions.
In situations where staff morale is low and fragmenting the vision and the mission of the school, a Genuine Leader steps forward to repair the culture, while making the necessary and difficult decisions to keep the educational process moving in a positive direction.
A Genuine Leader understands that teachers are the heart and soul of their school. Promote them and encourage them to positively engage with students, staff, parents and the community.
A Genuine Leader creates a warm and inviting atmosphere where parents feel welcomed to participate as a partner in the educational process.
Our differences make us stronger. A Genuine Leader embraces the differences in order to bolster a stronger common vision of learning within the school and district.
Teachers want administrators to ensure they have the tools and resources for success. The Genuine Leader provides teachers with these tools so that they can positively impact student learning!
A Genuine Leader understands, especially at the beginning of the school year, teachers want administrators to clearly define their roles and expectations of their performance. That way everyone can start off moving in a positive direction.

The Genuine Leader makes a concerted effort to understand their school’s climate and culture, taking care to cultivate a healthy learning environment for their students.
Parent involvement is paramount for student success. The Genuine Leader must create and maintain an educational environment that cultivates parental involvement. We are a team in growing our future citizens.
A Genuine Leader always asks, “Am I making a decision that focuses on what’s best for the child?”
When Genuine Leaders clearly establish and state teacher roles and expectations, teacher satisfaction in living up to those roles and expectations increases.
