... their teacher today upset that they would not have a violin to play come the summer holidays, as they are loaned one by the college. A lot of the students are on bursaries to help cover the cost of lessons. The RWCMD decision only hastens the death of music education in wales

The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama told its staff today that it is axeing its junior department at the end of this term. Almost 200 children study there on saturdays. That will all stop in July. This is not rich kids playing expensive instruments. One of them texted...
