@taxitradepro He who pays the piper calls the tune. It's the public who've fuelled the popularity of apps. Our servicing apps (preferably trade rather than corporate) have kept us relevant and in demand. Can you imagine where we'd be if card acceptance hadn't become obligatory.

This is shocking on multiple levels. A Freedom of Information request revealed that 158 individuals granted private hire licences had prior convictions for violent offences. In addition, 61 had drug-related convictions, 36 had drink-driving offences, and 4 had sexual offence convictions. Overall, the FOI showed that 438 licences were issued to individuals with criminal records in the last year alone. Further concern arises from reporting by @carolinegall1, which conflates taxi drivers with private hire drivers. These licences were granted to minicab drivers, not licensed taxi drivers - an important distinction that risks diverting attention from what is increasingly being highlighted as a very serious issue. @TfL @TfLTPH @transportgovuk @LBC @BBCNews bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

TFL, why has nothing being done about this driver who assaulted Sarah at the Wellington Pl cab shelter, why is he still out there carrying passengers? I saw him on Sunday on the Cromwell Road, he should have been arrested for assault, TFL stop dragging your feet with this one.

Freedom of Information disclosures from @WolvesCouncil show that in just three months, seventeen allegations of sexual assault or rape were recorded involving Wolverhampton-licensed private hire drivers- and not one of those alleged attacks happened in Wolverhampton. The man who intervened to stop one of the shooters was a Muslim, and he needs to publicly honoured! However, the actions of one individual do not absolve a doctrine that continues to radicalise, justify, and inspire violence around the world. Those who slander others for calling attention to this issue should be disregarded.
