The US is about to spend $3 billion cleaning up & decarbonizing ports. This will disproportionately benefit the low-income families who tend to live near these things. Big deal! Wouldn't have happened without Dems in charge! eenews.net/articles/epa-s…
@drvolts It seems like so many of these activities are the beginning of efforts that will have noticeable effects in a few years? Just in time for the next guy to claim all the credit while undoing everything that made it possible. Sounds familiar!
@drvolts We can’t wait for it here in LA!! Woo Hoo! 🎊
@drvolts Is this the kind of thing Matt Yglesias says is too woke?
@drvolts This is great. It kills my though that $3bb will do so much good and Bezos earns that in a day. Why isn’t there a billionaire that matches these programs. $6bb for clean up would be so much more helpful than moon rockets.
@drvolts “This will disproportionately benefit the low-income families who tend to live near these things.” People like Jill Stein and the vast majority of the “Biden has to earn my vote!” brigades live far away from industrial pollution sites like these so they don’t care if Trump wins.
@drvolts Shame these things will understandably get overshadowed by the fact he needs to stand trial at The Hague for providing material support for atrocities and war crimes.
@drvolts Doesn't the GOP want to entirely get rid of the EPA? I think it's in their 2025 Heritage Foundation plan.
