🔔 Update on the @XTexchange emergency 🔔 Approximately 20 hours after our tweet, @XTexchange has reopened withdrawals for $wQUIL only, without having provided any communication about. Here's what's going on: >>> All users trying withdrawal $wQUIL are having a daily limit of $1,000. Since the reopening of withdrawals, no withdrawals have exceeded 10,000 units of $wQUIL (~ >$1k), as can be seen here: etherscan.io/token/0x814318… Note: There are a few nations where #XT imposes this limit by default, but now the problem is affecting everyone. >>> #XT is using tokens already in its public wallets, which contain only a fraction of the stolen tokens. In the case of $wQUIL, #XT note addresses owns about 1/4 of the stolen amount. $wQUIL represents the only token of all through which XT can carry out this strategy without being drained within minutes. ⚠️ Conclusion: #XT appears to have partially restored withdrawals to create the impression that it is resolving the situation, possibly in response to the pressure from our previous tweet. However, the stolen tokens have not yet been repurchased and placed into XT's wallets, meaning their wallets will be drained within the timeframe allowed by the withdrawal limits. The lack of official communication regarding the partial restoration of $wQUIL withdrawals highlights an attempt to publicly cover up and deny the ongoing situation. 📌 Additional details and clarifications: 1️⃣ Withdrawal blocking: It affected all tokens involved in the hack with the exception of USDT and FLOKI, the only ones with a high marketcap, of which XT had other stocks in its public addresses (see below), which were treated on a par with the other tokens listed on XT, confirming that the ‘technical maintenance’ thesis is not credible 2️⃣ XT's official wallets: As stated in the previous message, the address of XT's user Deposits and Withdrawals is this: etherscan.io/address/0xdb3d… This is not their only wallet. We share an important post and research by a Q member, since it also involves $wQUIL 🚨 @XTexchange : Urgent Call for Accountability and Transparency 🚨 We demand the immediate purchase of missing tokens, the restoration of withdrawals, and the cessation of false claims by @XTexchange . On November 28, 2024, #XTExchange experienced a security breach resulting in the theft of approximately 494 ETH (~$2M). Contrary to recent announcements claiming the full resumption of withdrawal services, the affected tokens remain inaccessible, and users face censorship when seeking clarification. It appears that XT is attempting to pass the losses from the hack onto users holding the affected tokens by spreading misleading information to both users and the press. We will not allow this to continue. It is clear that #XT has not yet compensated its users, who can neither withdraw the affected tokens nor trade them on the market due to a lack of liquidity. The exact role these tokens played in the hack remains unclear >> The attacker bridged 1 ETH on Optimism and executed a "Proof Withdrawal Transaction," authorizing the transfer of more funds via a bridge from Optimism to Ethereum. This action requires a challenge period of seven days >> Yesterday, on December 5, the attacker executed a "Finalize Withdrawal Transaction" that allowed them to collect approximately 29 ETH etherscan.io/address/0xbeb5… We have analyzed the attacker's transactions and can confirm that today's event represents the completion of the November 28 hack. This means the attacker can no longer extract any more funds from XT's address.
