The Nazi guards never heard the baby crying inside her toolbox. If they had, 2,500 children would have died. In 1942, a 32-year-old Polish social worker named Irena Sendler walked into the Warsaw Ghetto carrying a simple toolbox. She had a permit to check for typhus outbreaks. The guards waved her through. Hidden beneath the wrenches and rags was a six-month-old baby. She walked past armed soldiers and handed the child to a Polish family waiting outside the walls. The next morning she walked back in and did it again. For three years Irena smuggled approximately 2,500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto. She hid infants in toolboxes, sedated children and smuggled them in coffins, concealed them in ambulances under stretchers, and used sewer pipes. Every child received a new Polish name. Irena recorded everything—real names, new names, locations—on tissue paper sealed in glass jars and buried in a friend’s garden. By October 1943 the Gestapo caught her. They tortured her, broke both her legs and both her feet, and beat her unconscious. She gave them nothing. After months they sentenced her to death. The night before her execution, the underground bribed a guard. He led her out and recorded her as “executed.” She went immediately back to work and continued until the war ended. When the war ended she dug up the jars and spent months trying to reunite children with families. Most parents had died in the camps. For decades almost no one knew about her. Then in 1999 four teenage girls in Kansas found a brief mention of a woman who had saved 2,500 children. They researched and wrote a play. At age 89 Irena Sendler became famous. She was honored by Pope John Paul II and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She died in 2008 at age 98. One estimate suggests those 2,500 rescued children produced approximately 6,000 descendants. She was a social worker with a permit and a toolbox. She walked into hell every day for three years and walked out carrying children. The Nazis broke her legs. They couldn’t break her will.

Hungarian Olympian Réka György, who lost a place in an NCAA swimming final after competing against trans swimmer Lia Thomas, criticized Virginia Gov. Spanberger’s admin for abandoning a proposed regulation intended to protect female sports and private spaces. György was one of three female swimmers who petitioned the Virginia Board of Health to enact the regulation last year. The board unanimously approved the petition under former Gov. Youngkin, but the regulatory action was withdrawn in July after Spanberger took office. Read more: foxnews.com/outkick-sports…

Shame on you, @SpanbergerForVA, for sending every little girl in Virginia the message that she isn’t worthy of being called a champion. wjla.com/news/local/vir…

I will never get over what happened on 9/11. Just 25 years later, a sanctimonious jihadist communist sits at the NYC’s mayor’s desk lecturing America, while associating with known terrorist, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, and people who want non-Muslims dead. Shame on NYC.

This is a lie. A blatant lie. Not to mention a complete reversal of your campaign promises. This unconstitutional power grab will permanently rig Virginia’s Congressional maps and disenfranchise millions of Virginians. Virginia, VOTE NO.

Virginia’s redistricting referendum gives voters the power to respond. To a President who says he’s “entitled” to more GOP seats in Congress before Americans vote in the midterms. To efforts in other states to give those seats to him. Join me in voting YES by April 21.

In a world of woke Team USA members like Hunter Hess & Amber Glenn trashing America at the Olympics, be a Tamyra Mensah-Stock. “I love representing the U.S. I freakin’ love living there. I love it, and I’m so happy I get to represent USA!”

You don’t have to like the President. But refusing to help create jobs in your own state? Come on, Abigail. As your Governor, I will work with anyone to strengthen our economy.

@VHSL_ Please advocate for our athletes and our performing artists-band and cheerleaders who perform at football games. This ruling makes absolutely no sense and our kids are suffering! Our seniors especially are desperate to make a few memories before high school is over for them.
