@AnnCan2020 Infrastructure and enforcement, and we need it now. While crossing Laburnum yesterday after Holton dismissal I saw three cars fly through the crosswalk, ignoring the crossing guard. We’re lucky no one was hurt.

@AnnCan2020 @RVAdirt I think it’s important to acknowledge the two distinct sections of BPB - the commercial corridor that already has traffic calming measures in place and the near-wide open stretch starting at Chamberlayne moving East, which absolutely needs bike lanes and/or a road diet.

@AnnCan2020 While rev gen via bike/ped infra would be great, I think it’s just as important to view it in terms of quality of life, public safety, equitable forms of movement. If we continue bldg a city that invites people to use its sidewalks and streets, then the investments will come.

@DFRSH757 @bikelanerva I did a bike holiday in the Netherlands and Germany a few years ago and the bike infrastructure almost ruined me for cycling when I got back to NYC. It’s hard to overstate how life changing safe cycling infrastructure can be for everyone.
