Aston Villa v Man City is 2nd v 4th from last season so on paper this should be the big match of this weekend. But I would have Chelsea v Spurs as the big match of this weekend as based on recent history these are two heavyweight teams you have been successful in recent history

These are the 3 candidates that will be interviewed for the Man Utd manager job. Howe is probably more better at interviews than the other 2 candidates but Conte has the best CV out of the 3 candidates. I would give the job to Conte as he has the best CV

Man City have a 100% record and appear to be the early favourites to win the Premier League. New manager bounce or players rejuvenated by the injustice of the recent FFP ruling? Probably a mixture of both. They have new players no has heard of but they are of good quality

Arsenal manager has just been given a new contract on £20m per year salary so this is not a good look. Revenue is going up so this is about efficiency improvements. Possibly cost cutting measures to improve profit margins so that USA owners can take more dividends out of the club

Potentially appoint Conte as Man Utd manager in the new year and give Carrick until the end of the year to improve Man Utd. Appointing Conte in the new year will give him the new year transfer window to bring in his own players. Probably a salary of £10m per year for Conte

Clearly the Man Utd players believe they have a s**t director of football who is s**t at doing his job. Director of football should therefore be sacked & not receiving apologies. Everyone has a go at Man Utd owners but to be fair to them they have spent lots of money on players

It is ironic that Liverpool fans are having a go at Man City for the dealings of their owners. It was not long ago when Liverpool had the worst owners in football history, Hicks & Gillett. These owners were so bad & dodgy that they nearly took Liverpool completely out of business

Man City have not won at Liverpool in the Premier League for a very long time. This match usually ends in a draw. Possibly the goading and taunting of the Man City team by the Liverpool fans due to FFP issues provided Man City with the motivation to thrash Liverpool?!

Most managers are less than a year in the job. Fergie said that the manager is the most important person at a football club so should be given full respect at a football club. Clearly this respect is not given anymore at a football club. Possibly a consequence of overseas owners?

An excellent international break for England. Harry Kane has been exceptional in this break. I would say not England's greatest ever player but definitely in the Top 5 of England's best players ever. Rooney is also up there with Kane & both have given excellent service to England

It has been a long international break so looking forward to return of the Premier League. Liverpool v Man City is the big match, both with new managers looking to leave their mark on the big matches. Man Utd v Spurs is worth a watch as Spurs are long overdue a good performance

Excellent away win. That is 10 away wins in a row. Thrashings like this rarely happen in international football these days particular against top teams like Croatia

Man City believe the Premier League commission is an opinion & disagree with this opinion. Appeals process will provide more legal based judgement rather than further opinions. Accountants rather than lawyers should form the appeals panel as mostly accounting issues at stake here

This is unlikely to happen. Man City will end up receiving a big fine and accept the guilty plea. Lawyers fighting other Lawyers here which always ends up in a negotiated settlement between the two parties in order to resolve this

I would say the big match of this weekend is not in the Premier League. It is actually in the Championship where Millwall play West Ham. This match is bringing up memories of Green St film and Football factory film and possibly these film scenes will be played out at this match

Sounds like VAR just forgot to consider the Enzo Fernández role in the goal. Utd would be wise not to call for the sacking of the VAR official that made this mistake. Utd may actually benefit going forward from this as VAR will now be careful on Utd VAR decisions in the future

Excellent Man City win at Man Utd. Utd should have won this as they had an extra player for most of the match. City manager changed the tactics after red card that proved crucial. Utd manager did not change the tactics after the red card to take advantage of the extra player

Manchester derby is the big match of the weekend. A proper big 4 clash there. But Spurs v Everton and Sunderland v Arsenal are worth watching too as expect lots of drama there. We have the first Saturday 8pm KO of the season and am a big fan of these Saturday night matches

Surely not a 2 horse title race already? Spurs are in another relegation battle this season but should finish 17th again to stay up. Hull are the surprise package & are using the same tactics that got them promoted last season but can these tactics work in the Premier League too?
