@eddycarra_ 190k is a fuck ton. Half of it is 95k Per month would be ~8k. Should could easily be saving half of that a month on top of all the necessities. She definitely has a tracking/spending problem
@eddycarra_ Yeah, that's true. I guess I assumed someone like this is probably too overwhelmed to go through all of them at a time. For some people, they need to observe their actions in order to see what needs to change and where.
@eddycarra_ Remember that money is a symptom, not the root problem. So you may have to dig deeper into yourself whether it's overspending and indulging - there are a few people I work with that cope by spending. Also, debt is a huge factor. Which I'm currently dealing with as well.
@eddycarra_ Go 2-3 months and spend like you regularly do to see where it's going. Shouldn't take THAT long tbh. You will quickly find what your money is being wasted on when you start categorizing your purchases. From there, it's up to you how you want to adjust where your money's going.
@eddycarra_ Sounds more like a discipline issue rather than a money issue. Start with line items for things you HAVE to spend on. 4 walls, electricity, transportation, and food. Those come first. Everything else needs a line item in your budget so you can track what is going where.
