The reason Ichiruki are detested is that they consistently behaved like bullies. They hated the character Orihime simply because she was in love with Ichigo. Nelliel and Riruka were not perceived as threats to their preferred ship

@reze__________ The anime doesn’t really put much effort into him, either. That final addition doesn’t give him a character arc, because the middle part is missing.

I would definitely see him as an NPC. When Kubo introduced him, I thought he’d be a more significant character, but that didn’t happen. Just because he has his moment in an episode doesn’t mean he has a character arc; there’s no development for that.

Ungrateful clowns like you are the absolute cancer of this fandom

That was one part of your post. You say, "I don't understand why IchiRuki isn't canon." Given that, at some point, Kubo stopped developing the dynamic between Ichigo and Rukia , in your hypothetical ending, does Ichigo go to live in the SS, Or Rukia leaves the SS
