Bitcoin is in the midst of a public relations crisis. Suitcoiners and politicians have been the face of bitcoin for a few years now, and as a result, they've diluted our culture, our brand and our identity so much, that now bitcoin's public image of "resistance money" is now starting to feel like "psyop money". And opportunists with something to sell you smell blood in the water, and are attacking bitcoin's narrative from all sides for their gain. Maybe they have a privacy shitcoin for you to buy, maybe they have a competing node implementation for you to run, or maybe they have a conspiracy newsletter for you to read, they all have something to gain by positioning bitcoin as the spook chain. It's an unfortunate state of affairs, but I do hope the social attack serves as a wakeup call for bitcoiners because there is some truth in what they are saying. We've grown complacent with our successes, our messaging has gotten stale, and we've stopped trying to compete in the market. We need to get our head out of our asses ASAP before it's too late.
