Before he told him, the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: Be of good cheer, O Awf, for God has revealed a Qur’an concerning you. ( وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا *وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا يَحْتَسِبُ وَمَنْ يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا) (And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out * And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.) Know that there is no power or strength except with God, a treasure from under the throne of the Most Gracious, and it is a cure for 99 diseases. if you intend to publish these words, intend good by them, perhaps God will relieve you of a worldly distress. His son Malik said to him: Father, by God, when I came out of the chains I felt as if the angels were carrying me on their wings. Glory be to God Almighty! Awf went to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to tell him,

Do you know the treasure of "لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله" ? "There is no power or strength except with Allah" Awf bin Malik Al-Ashja’i went to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said to him: O Messenger of God, my son Malik went with you to fight in the way of God and did not return, so what should I do? The army has returned, but Malik has not. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “O Awf, you and your husband should say often: "لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله" To be continued...

7⃣ The Seventh Category: Five surahs that start with the command "Say": 📌 Al-Jinn: قُلۡ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ Say, "It has been revealed to me." 📌 Al-Kafirun: قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَـٰفِرُونَ Say, "O disbelievers!" 📌 Al-Ikhlas: قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One." 📌 Al-Falaq: قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلۡفَلَقِ Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak." 📌 An-Nas: قُلۡ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind." 🌿 All of them are Meccan.

6⃣ The Sixth Category: Five surahs that start with a question: 📌 Al-Insan: هَلۡ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ Has there come upon man a period... 📌 Al-Ghashiyah: هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَـٰشِيَةِ Has there come to you the story of the Overwhelming? 📌 Al-Sharh: أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your chest? 📌 Al-Fil: أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصۡحَـٰبِ ٱلۡفِيلِ Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the people of the elephant? 📌 Al-Ma'un: أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ Have you seen the one who denies the Judgment? 🌿 All of them are Meccan.

An Easy Way to Remember the Similar Beginnings of Surahs in the Quran: The rule of: 5 5 5 5 5 5 Which includes the following seven categories in the openings of the surahs:🌿 1⃣The First Category: Five surahs that begin with praise (الحمد): 📌 Al-Fatihah: ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. 📌 Al-An'am: ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ Praise be to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth. 📌 Al-Kahf: ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلَ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ Praise be to Allah, who has sent down the Book to His servant. 📌 Saba: ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ Praise be to Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. 📌 Fatir: ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ Praise be to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth. 🌿 All of them are Meccan.

Ignorance is a Lethal Disease - Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan الجهل داء قاتل، Ignorance is a lethal disease. وليت الجاهل يسكت على جهله، and I wish that the ignorant would remain silent upon his ignorance. لكن جاهل يتكلم في أمور الدين ويفتي، هذه المصيبة، However, the ignorant talk about the matters of the religion and issue fatawā, this is a calamity! أما الجاهل الذي يعترف بجهله، ويقصر شرّه عن الناس، As for the ignorant who recognises his ignorance and withholds his evil from the people, هذا أخف من الجاهل الذي يتكلم في أمور الدين، ويحلل ويحرم، ويفتي وهو على جهل، he is less than the one who talks about the matters of the dīn, makes things halal and haram, and gives fatwa while he is upon ignorance. فهذا يحدث في آخر الزمان يقلّ الفقهاء، ويكثر القراء، This happens during the end of times, when the Fuqahā (scholars) decrease and the reciters increase, ويتخذ الناس رؤوسًا جهالًا يفتون بغير علم، ويَضلون ويُضلون" and people will take the ignorant as leaders, issuing fatawa without ilm, so they go astray and lead others astray.

After understanding Allah’s role, the surah moves to name the type of harm we need protection from: مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ ("From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws"). Here, we ask Allah to save us from Satan’s hidden influences that bring doubts and negative thoughts but fade when we remember Allah. The next ayah, الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ ("Who whispers in the hearts of mankind"), explains where this influence takes effect—in our hearts, where our thoughts and feelings come from. This makes it clear that our inner selves are the target, making Allah’s protection essential. The last ayah shows the sources of these harmful whispers: مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ("Among jinn and among mankind"), meaning this harm can come from both unseen beings and other people. These ayat together form a strong request to Allah for protection from all kinds of hidden harm.
