"In-house UGC gets us a $2 CPM." That number isn't cheaper. It just moves the cost somewhere you stopped measuring. Here's the hidden math: Say in-house is a $2.00 CPM and an agency is $2.75. At 10M views, that gap is $7,500. Feels like a win for in-house. Until you look at what the $2.00 actually costs you. Running the program in-house eats real hours. Scripts, creator outreach, payments, QC. Call it 100 hours a month. Now your breakeven is $75 an hour. So the question isn't "which CPM is lower." It's "can your team create more than $75/hour of value doing literally anything else?" For most founders and operators, the answer is obviously yes. A low CPM doesn't erase the cost. It just hides it in your team's time. Lower CPM is not lower total cost. To be clear, $2 was just to make the math easy. We've driven $1 CPMs or lower across a dozen categories. The point isn't that low CPMs are bad. It's that a low CPM alone doesn't tell you what a campaign actually costs.

Your UGC isn't converting because your creators have no credibility. Borrow the founder's. Have them green screen and react to a video from the founder. Why it works: the founder is the source of truth. When a creator reacts to the person who actually built the thing, they borrow that credibility instead of starting from zero. It lowers the barrier of friction for the viewer, and it converts better than another random creator "doing stuff" for your brand. The play: 1.Founder films a clear, confident take on the problem the product solves 2.Creators green screen it and react in their own voice 3.The creator gets reach, the founder gets trust, and you get both We've seen founder led content convert best every time we've tested it for Evo.

Creators don't have a content problem. They have a "doing 5 unpaid jobs" problem. You're not just making videos. You're also: → Cold-pitching brands who ghost you → Negotiating rates with zero leverage → Doing market research and hook strategy at 1am → Writing scripts → Chasing payment on invoices that were "due" 30-60 days ago → Managing brand convos across Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, email, AND text like it's a part-time job Brands pay late. Brands ghost. Brands make you beg for money you already earned. Just create. It’s better for you.
