There's something dizzying about the trans movement's shameless historical revisionism, like waking up on a tight-rope wire. It's a long way down.

That's what always gets me. Whenever the past is torn up and rewritten. Whenever civil liberties are scorned. Whenever words are misused -- like labeling the unwillingness to play along as "violence" -- I think, I hope you never need that word to mean something.
People without power need recourse to factuality. They need civil liberties. They need words that mean things. That a movement of supposedly oppressed people would heap these things on a bonfire is, to me, very telling.
Not all causes benefit from clear language, hard facts, and open dialogue. When a movement scorns these things, ask why.
