Around $16M in USDT moved out of wallets linked to the exchange on Oct 21. @CoinDCX says these were old deposit addresses from their July 2025 incident that some users still sent funds to. They claim their sweeping process failed for a period, they absorbed the losses, and no active wallets were compromised. On-chain investigators (including @ZachXBT) say at least one of those addresses was still actively handling deposits much later than the exchange first suggested. Tether has frozen part of the funds. Still developing, but another reminder that exchange wallet hygiene and clear communication matter a lot.

Crypto security still feels backwards sometimes. People protect their seed phrase like it’s gold… then casually click “Approve” on random sites and leave unlimited permissions sitting there for months. Most drains don’t start with someone stealing your keys. They start with a permission you gave and forgot about. Revoke old approvals. Use a separate wallet for experiments. Slow down before you sign. Simple habits beat fancy tools most of the time.
