Omega Network is preparing to introduce OMS (Omega Mining Sync), a proposed logical protocol aimed at improving long term mining sustainability and strengthening the active mining ecosystem. As the network continues to grow rapidly, a large number of wallets remain permanently inactive and non-migrated, deleted account after mining small amounts and leaving the ecosystem forever. These cold wallets continue to impact the public mining pool structure despite having no active participation in the network. Under the proposed mechanism, balances from permanently inactive and non-migrated wallets may enter a monthly sync-burn process. The important part is that these synchronized burns are not simply removed without purpose.
