Don’t believe anyone that says you can just clone an app like MacroFactor and make $20k a month easily. These apps aren’t easy to clone. Sure you can vibe code the basic stuff in a weekend, but the real value is in the details, which takes much longer and is much harder.

I didn't know this, but when Pinterest came out, it hit 10 million monthly unique users faster than any other site had at the time! Really interesting (and prescient) that Facebook bought Instagram and not Pinterest.
Been reading distributed systems research papers. Tech is so great because landmark distributed systems breakthroughs that happen at large companies are shared openly, because they know cost is the moat, not the tech itself.
The #1 trait I’ve seen in the best software engineers I know is that they have written a LOT of code. Effective volume makes you better at anything. 10,000 hour rule applies to everything.
