Indigenous perspectives are valuable and necessary in our world TODAY. Using solely the past tense is damaging and creates a false sense of mythicism regarding Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Being. The fact that this is in curriculum breaks my heart.

Dear Albertans, The teachers of AB are incensed with the rollout of Kenney's curriculum. We aren't livid because it'll be harder to teach, it'll be easier actually. This will damage student learning. It's bad for kids. That's why we're mad. Sincerely, A teacher.
