I signed up for the Factor meals for 3 weeks.
Here are 4 things I learned:
1. Those microwaveable trays they come in... they are officially called "Bentos." I think it's pronounced like Mento?
Had no idea.
But they come with detailed instructions on how to microwave the bentos.
2. You know how you're supposed to sometimes remove the plastic film from the bento (love using that word now) to allow for ventilation?
You need to do that sometimes with these.
Sometimes it's after you've microwaved the food for some time and you need to "mix contents." Still not sure that does anything.
Other times, there are sauces inside a plastic cup that is sealed with film - all located in one of the compartments of the bento 😁.
My point here is that I hate the plastic film.
It is nearly impossible for me to peel it back.
I had posts about the Chick fil A sauce packets a few years back that caused me issues. Same here.
Several times, I get frustrated enough to just take a knife to the plastic. Or I have Caitlin open it for me.
3. The food tastes good... but...
The nutritional facts and contents of the meals I ordered put me at like 100% of my daily value in certain negative categories with one bento (hehe).
It all tastes great. Haven't had one I didn't like. But the portions leave me wanting more food... but I've already had my daily allocation of fats, sodium, and other things, so I feel guilty... but it doesn't stop me.
4. These have been super convenient to pop in the microwave for lunch or dinner and not have to cook or clean anything up.
Gave it 3 weeks.
I like them.
Caitlin is okay with them.
Kids don't like anything that looks healthy.
Ended the subscription for now.

So, if you like dreams, your breathing is suspect when laying on your side, and you own two pillows... I think I might've just made a scientific breakthrough for all of humanity.
You're welcome, Planet Earth.
I'm not a sleep doctor. All I'm saying is... I love dreams, and this new little sleep position hack has been nuts. It's been working every single night (I hope I didn't just jinx it) and my nose has been on his game, working and holding my marriage together by a delicate thread.
So... wise ol' Erik started an experiment.
What if I always sleep with 2 pillows?
2 weeks into this experiment, and I've been having vivid, realistic, long, and super interesting dreams, Every. Single. Night.
This removes the kink in my my head is ever-so-slightly upright.
Naps are the best sleeps, and I woke up from this one sincerely questioning if I ever wanted to wake up again.
It was glorious.
It was deep, and I was gone to the world with some pretty wild dreams.
Well... two weeks ago, I had the rare opportunity to take an afternoon nap.
I just plopped on the bed without removing the throw pillows.
So now... imagine my sleeping form with me... I'm laying on my right side with my head on 2 pillows instead of one.
See how stressful my life can be?
Always walking on egg shells with this one... but she's hot, so totally worth it.
So... on the many, regular nights where Mr. Nose decides he's tired of doing his job, I don't sleep great, and I don't have good dreams.
This turns me into a mouth breather... and we all know how we feel about THOSE people...
When this happens, I lose sleep thinking, "if I'm mouth breathing, my breath will smell bad... and if my wife thinks I have bad breath... she'll take the kids and leave me..."
Up until 2 weeks ago, I'd sleep with 1 pillow like any other "normal" human. The problem is... I think I have a deviated septum (self-diagnosed) and randomly my nose will just decide it doesn’t want to work anymore while my head is cocked sideways and my neck is all kinked.
My long, detailed, realistic dreams would only happen every few weeks or so. Maybe even months apart. Until... 2 weeks ago.
I'm a side sleeper or occasionally a stomach sleeper.
I've woken up convinced I was still in high school, wanted for a crime, or had a family member die in my arms.
If you've heard of lucid dreaming or astral projection, I went down those rabbit holes a few years ago and had some interesting experiences we can talk about sometime.
The super vivid, realistic dreams are my favorite.
Have you ever had a dream that felt so real that you woke up fully convinced that you'd actually done what happened in the dream... in real life?
It's freaky.
I've always been a dreamer.
Meaning, when I sleep, I often have dreams and tend to remember a lot of them.
I've wondered if there's any meaning to them or if they are just the brain's odd way of consolidating memories. I've kept dream journals on and off for most of my life.
I don't fully understand X, but we're going to give it a whirl.
My 2 "real people" followers are in for a treat.
Once you get verified or pay money or whatever... do the fake follower accounts slow down?
