Grammys part II - I understand the need to whittle down the overwhelming volume of submissions (there were more than 22,000 last year) yet shortening the entry period and making people pay as much as $125 per entry does not seem right.

Grammys The 6 week entry period for round 1 of the Grammy award process ends August 31.I just spent a good part of two days making submitals (and that was just for one artist, and I’m not finished with her yet) Some of the new rules for Grammy submittal don’t seem very democratic

What did I learn today? If you want to stream HiDef losseless audio from Apple you need to be on Mac OS 10.14 (Catalina) or newer.

STEMS! A mono track of audio is not a “Stem” (well I can be be... but..) it’s just an exported file. “Stems” are meant to be sub mixed groups of instruments.

Avid Protools new update. TONS of fixes and updates. But they forgot to mention in the release notes - requires Mojave OS or later. Good thing I checked compatibility chart first. (I’m still on High Sierra).

The ISWC standard has been approved by the International Organization for Standardization ("ISO"), and is currently assigned to by rights management organizations through ISWC registration agencies during the process of registering musical works.

So, You're doing your own mastering, and you know what an ISRC is... do you know what an ISWC is? The International Standard Musical Work Code ("ISWC") is a unique, permanent and internationally recognized reference number for the identification of musical works.
