There’s an alarmingly large cohort of women who espouse an enormous double standard hypocrisy. Disturbingly, it has become normalised to a worrying n extent…

@Cici_RNinNYC@salltweets You’re describing how the world treats women. I’m describing how it treats men. Both are true, but they’re not the same conversation.
Croatia’s parliament on Friday voted to reintroduce compulsory military service. This decision marks a return to conscription, which was suspended in 2008 when the country shifted to a volunteer system.
One thing this story doesn’t mention is that it only applies to men.
Men are still the ones we not only expect to fight and die for us but force to fight and die for us. It seems a lot of people who fight for “gender equality!” fail to recognize that.
Men’s spaces did need protecting — and now they’re mostly gone. Women spent decades dismantling them, often under the banner of “equality,” but what was lost in the process were the vital places where men built community, brotherhood, and purpose. That loss has consequences: the loneliness epidemic among men and the high suicide rates are not abstract statistics — they’re symptoms of a society that stripped away its support structures for men.
This isn’t only about physical protection. It’s about preserving the social and emotional spaces that sustained men. To dismiss them as unnecessary is to ignore how much damage has already been done.
Both men’s and women’s spaces need protecting. Surely you, in all your indignant self-righteousness, can see that.
“He molested me. I couldn’t breathe since he did that to me.
I was traumatized.
He tried to grape me.
Men are animals.
They don’t deserve a place in this world”

The “we fought to be recognised as human beings” line feels like rhetorical inflation. Women were never legally classified as non-human; rights were denied, yes, but the “not human” framing is dramatic hyperbole designed to stir emotion.
And there’s an irony here: much of the intellectual groundwork for today’s trans ideology was laid in feminist and queer theory. The very academics and activists who argued that sex-based boundaries should be blurred — that gender is a social construct and men and women are essentially the same — effectively opened the door. Now that men claim womanhood, some of those same voices are drawing hard biological lines.
It’s a classic case of unintended consequences: dismantle the category of “woman” to achieve liberation, and you eventually dismantle the protections tied to it.
"You would NEVER ask a woman about her vagina!"
White Lotus star Jason Isaacs destroys female TV host when she asks about his penis.
"Why is it OK to objectify men? Actresses are never asked about their private parts. It's a huge double-standard."
LOVE IT‼️👏👏 @jasonsfolly
Phone cameras are exposing the real behaviour of females. Around 25 years ago, everyone believed them blindly. Thanks to technology now their reality is for everyone to see.
The idea that empathy is somehow inherently feminine doesn’t really hold up when you look at it closely. Men demonstrate deep empathy constantly — whether through brotherhood, loyalty, or sacrifice — and often in ways that are less performative and more action-based.
What tends to get labelled as “female empathy” today often looks more like selective compassion or moral grandstanding, applied inconsistently depending on who is deemed deserving.
It’s also worth remembering that “empathy” itself is not some eternal feminine trait, but a fairly recent invention in psychology. The concept was coined from the German word Einfühlung (“feeling into”), first introduced by philosopher Robert Vischer in 1873, and later developed by Theodor Lipps around 1903.
It was only translated into English as “empathy” in the early 20th century and became popularised much later in pop psychology. So the notion that it has always belonged more naturally to one sex is more cultural narrative than timeless truth.
If anything, history shows that both men and women are capable of profound empathy — but also of selective cruelty. To assign compassion as inherently feminine ignores the countless ways men have lived and died for one another, their families, and their societies.
It isn’t about one sex owning empathy. It’s about recognising that the quality itself is a human capacity, not a gendered one.
It’s not about you personally “doing it” — it’s about the principle. The point was raised that men entering a Pilates class shifts the dynamic of a women’s space. That’s fair, but the parallel is that men’s spaces have been eroded far more deeply. Women are routinely given access to men’s locker rooms across the Western world, even while the players are naked and vulnerable.
If the roles were reversed, and men were ushered into women’s locker rooms with cameras while they dressed or showered, there would be outrage — and rightly so. Yet when it happens to men, it’s accepted, even mocked.
The point isn’t blame, it’s balance.
Women expect their spaces to be respected and protected, but when men ask for the same consideration, they’re often dismissed. That double standard is exactly why some men feel they no longer have spaces of their own.
@InnocentlyEris @ejbowlin And how do you explain letting women into men’s locker rooms to conduct interviews while the men are naked ie every sports team across the Western World?
It’s not accurate to say men carry no unique responsibilities. Even today there are several areas where the burden falls almost entirely on them.
Men are still legally required to register for the draft in countries like the United States. In many parts of the world conscription is active and applies only to men. Ukraine is the most recent and striking example. Since the war began, men of fighting age have been prohibited from leaving the country, while women have been free to cross borders and seek safety abroad. That is a very real civic duty imposed on men alone, and it illustrates how expectations differ when survival is at stake.
Beyond wartime, men continue to dominate the most dangerous and physically demanding jobs that keep societies running, from mining and construction to frontline emergency response. Mortality and injury rates are much higher for men in these roles, yet the risk is often treated as invisible because it is so normalised.
At the same time, women absolutely shoulder different responsibilities, particularly around caregiving and maintaining social cohesion. Both sexes carry burdens, but they are not the same, and it is misleading to suggest that men carry none at all.
If we want a fair conversation about equality, it has to include an honest look at the responsibilities that still fall heavily on men today, not just the ones women disproportionately take on.
Appreciate the intent, but let’s be honest: it was government that pushed feminism, wrote biased laws, and sent men to die in wars. Now that same government wants to “study” men and boys as if it wasn’t the architect of their struggles.
Lisa, your advocacy for men is genuine — but this is your blind spot: how can the same state that created the fire be trusted to put it out? Real change won’t come from commissions, but from dismantling the laws and policies that actively harm men.
