Saying a prayer for pastors tonight. No matter what they say, it will be too much or too little for someone, especially who have been discipled to react in particular ways. But I still trust that the Spirit can move powerfully in our weakness and reshape our broken hearts.

Good news from today: I got very ahead on my sermon for this Sunday and had a decent outline and notes from various commentaries. Bad news from today: I forgot to hit "command + s" before closing the doc. The study is not wasted, but it's still a bummer. Topic: Zeph. 3:8-20

One of the most liberating changes I've experienced is fully embracing my finitude & weakness. Jesus said apart from him we can do nothing, but I didn't really live this. For years I strived to make an impact through gifts, ability, & effort. But God is at work. That's enough.

Shout out to @ted_ryce ! I’m down to 155 from 185 following his common sense twitter advice! When I was 185 I worked out 5-6 times a week, never ate sweets or unhealthy, and still had a little fluff. Now I exercise 4-5 times a week, and eat cake.
