In 1981, Dr. Michael Shannon worked tirelessly through the night to successfully rescue a premature baby boy. 30 years later, in 2011, Dr. Shannon was trapped in his burning SUV following a collision with a semi-truck. Miraculously, he was rescued from the blazing vehicle by Chris Trokey, a paramedic with the Orange County Fire Authority. Remarkably, it was revealed that Chris Trokey was the same premature baby Dr. Shannon had delivered three decades earlier.

A young boy at IPS School 88 was having a rough day when Sgt. Precious Cornner-Jones, Indiana State Police Capitol Police Section, stepped in to show him a moment of kindness. This little fella was having a rough morning and fell out on the floor. I saw his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself lately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him. He started to cry so I wiped his tears and told him it will be ok. As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level, and maybe wipe our tears. These children are entitled to bad days just as us, so give them that moment to bring it together. Get on someone's level today and make them smile!! Spread PEACE and LOVE you might be that person that gives them hope! Story Credit: Indiana State Police Section
During World War II, a French mime named Marcel Marceau used his acting background to rescue Jewish children and get them to safety. He would smuggle them across the Swiss border, miming to keep them happy while instructing them to stay quiet. He saved at least 70 kids. Marceau would disguise himself as a Boy Scout leader and lead groups of children on long walks through the countryside to reach the Swiss border. During the journey, he would use his mime skills to keep the children entertained and quiet, so as not to attract attention from German soldiers or collaborators. Marceau's efforts are estimated to have saved the lives of at least 70 Jewish children. After the war, he continued to perform as a mime artist and became one of the most famous performers in the world. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 84.
