THREE YEARS. Three years since the moment my life changed forever. Even now, it feels so unreal that sometimes I still can’t fully comprehend that I was kidnapped and taken to Gaza. Sometimes it feels like it was all just a nightmare I somehow woke up from. But at the same time, the pain is always here. It never really leaves, and sometimes, it only gets stronger. This year, when I went to visit the graves of my friends, I felt like it had somehow become even harder. Maybe because the hostages are finally home. Maybe because I’m no longer part of that fight. Or maybe because everyone else has already graduated, moved to Tel Aviv, and started their careers. And you remain there, like a memory from another life. A life that was innocent, young, and happy. A group of friends simply enjoying life, dreaming big, with no idea how quickly everything could change. I miss you every single day. With every step I take, on every path I choose, I find myself wondering what it would be like if you were still here beside me. As more time passes, I realize that soon, more time will have passed since we lost you than the amount of time I actually had the chance to know you. And that is something I still can’t accept. To me, you are always with me. And for those of us who have lost someone we love, it isn’t easy to watch the world keep moving when some people’s lives simply stopped. It isn’t easy to live with the guilt of being the ones who are still here. But we have to keep going, because that is what they would have wanted for us. We have to learn to live alongside the pain. Embrace it. Forgive it. Understand it. But at the same time, keep looking forward. Give yourself permission to LIVE.

Last month, our 3-year-old rescue dog threw up twice and seemed a little lethargic. Just acting off. We got nervous and rushed him to the local 24-hour emergency animal hospital. Before a vet had even stepped into the room, the receptionist slid an iPad across the desk: "Emergency exam intake fee is $385 non-refundable just for the doctor to evaluate him." Fine. You pay it because you love your dog. The vet walks in, checks his gums for twenty seconds, feels his stomach, and walks back out. Five minutes later, she returns with a printed estimate: Full blood panel: $650. Abdominal ultrasound: $900. Overnight hospitalization with IV: $1,400. Exploratory sedation: $800. Total estimated cost: $3,750. I asked the vet: "He ate a weird piece of grass earlier. Can we just start with an anti-nausea injection and monitor him for a couple of hours?" The vet looked me dead in the eyes with a straight face and said: "You can do that. But if he has a complete gastrointestinal blockage, he could go septic and pass away by sunrise." Pure emotional manipulation. They know your pet is family, so they hold your empathy hostage to hit corporate revenue quotas. We declined the package, paid the exam fee, and took him home. Fed him white rice and boiled chicken. Two hours later, he drank a bowl of water, took a long nap, and was running circles around the yard by 8:00 AM the next morning. Massive private corporations bought out almost every neighborhood mom-and-pop vet clinic, turned them into profit mills, and weaponized our love for animals into maximum billing. Has modern veterinary medicine become an emotional shakedown, or are people just ungrateful for specialized care?

Instead of adding pink ribbons to their products this month maybe companies should just remove the cancer causing ingredients.

New York Times reporter Jonathan Swan just got a stunning reality check from both Bill Maher and author James Kirchick. Swan was spiraling over President Trump barring CNN and MS NOW from the White House, until Kirchick reminded him of some of the Obama-era media scandals. KIRCHICK: “During the Obama administration they tapped the AP bureau’s phones and the phones of AP bureau reporters. They tapped their phones!” Maher backed up some of the claims and seconded Kirchick’s point about the Obama administration. MAHER: “I looked this up about freezing out one…they did it with Fox News. He admitted it.” “The White House has demonstrated our willingness to exclude Fox News from news making interviews…” “This is exactly what…you know, this is what I say about this country. The administration accused these outlets of publishing sensitive or classified information and reporting that raised serious national security concerns. And DOJ laid out specific examples. 🔴 CNN: Reporting about a “top secret” bunker beneath the East Wing ballroom and other coverage involving the Iran war. 🔴 MS NOW: Reporting involving the Iran war, U.S. military munitions, and an alleged leak investigation. 🔴 Politico: Reporting involving Secret Service security improvements connected to the ballroom, discussions over Russia sanctions, and a story based on anonymous sources about the Republican congressional midterm convention. The administration argued that publishing sensitive information can create national security risks and force officials to determine whether information is classified and what consequences its disclosure could have. DOJ also made a much broader legal argument: “Access to the White House is a privilege — not a right.” The government is asking the court to recognize broad presidential authority over White House press access and has even argued that the precedent governing White House press credentials should be overturned. And after hearing all of this today, THE BADGES STAYED PULLED. So no, this case is not simply about Trump being upset because reporters asked tough questions. We’re talking about allegations involving classified information, national security, military operations, White House security, and the scope of presidential authority over press access. Back in 2008 oil damn near hit $148 a barrel and gas was around 4 bucks. Now oil is way lower and somehow we’re still paying more at the pump. You can throw out all the excuses you want, but regular people know when something smells fishy. Something ain’t right.

Ever wonder whatever happened to Trump's promise to cap credit card interest at 10 percent? Here's what happened to it. Back in January, Trump called for a hard 10 percent cap, at least for a year, to give families buried under 20-plus percent rates some breathing room. He even got Bernie Sanders and Josh Hawley to write the bill together. When Bernie and MAGA land on the same page, you know the little guy actually had a shot. Then the banks showed up. The lobby swarmed Capitol Hill, and the bill's been parked in committee ever since. No vote. No cap. Banks claimed if they are capped at 10% they couldn't offer credit to those with low credit scores. And people forget, a president can't just snap his fingers and cap rates. It takes Congress. And Congress answered to the banks, not to you. Trump put it on the table. The swamp sat on it!
