21 Beaver Scouts, 2 Young Leaders, 7 adults staying overnight and enjoyed BEAVERS GO WILD and they are already looking forward to the next one.

Our Scout Troop went on their annual camp in Dorset in August. Another fun packed week of camping, hiking, kayaking, shooting, bushcraft, pioneering, high ropes and wonderful food. Memories made and numerous skills for life learnt in the great outdoors.

Loads of fun had and noise made alongside lots of games played in all sections in the welcome back week after the summer holiday. We’re looking forward to another term of learning skills, earning badges and making memories!

Last week Mole & Downs Packs added some tails to their kites and had some success flying them. A few got off the ground but all the cubs had great fun running around and trying to fly them. Would you like to get involved with Cubs? [email protected]

Hawks Beaver Colony ended the term making rocket ships, played football, built incredible Lego models and competed using our brand new throwing axes. They awarded badges and invested two new Beaver Scouts. Join the team! Children aged 6-8. [email protected]

Great Scout session on Friday using the herringbone navigation method which is used in rally driving or other navigational events and uses a simplified, linear representation of a route. They did a 3-4 mile walk using it, stopping for few problem solving activities along the way.

Centenary Cub Pack had a load of fun and laughter running around in the fresh air with their kites that they made a few weeks ago. They also played a team playing-cards wide game, threw a frisbee and an aero howler around. Be part of something amazing and become a volunteer!

Fires were built at Scouts up at Boidierhurst Camp Site on Box Hill. When the fires had calmed enough to cook on, they made chocolate bananas, and S’mores! Want to get involved with Scouting but don’t have too much time spare, why not become a Trustee and help behind the scenes?
