If by 2030 we are not a UNSC permanent member with an equal veto power as any other country, we must leave the UN. Why should India sanctify a body where we are not at the top?

Self-reliance doesn’t mean cutting off the world. It means no one can switch us off. India won’t replace Western tech overnight, and it doesn’t need to. But it can start, step by step. What government can do: Speak first on Indian platforms. Every ministry, every announcement, same day. Prefer Indian software in government purchases where a good option exists. Build public rails and let private apps compete on top. UPI already proved this model works. Back deep tech with patient money: chips, cloud, AI, operating systems. Keep Indians’ data in India, under Indian law. What we, the people, can do: Try one Indian app for a month, not a day. Give feedback, not just one-star ratings. Creators: post on Indian platforms first, then share everywhere else. Be patient. X took 20 years. Google took 25. UPI took 8. We did it with payments. We did it with space. We did it with vaccines. Technology was never India’s weakness. Patience and backing were. @PMOIndia @GoI_MeitY @_DigitalIndia @makeinindia

Bad decision by Elon Musk to target India and Indian Govt on Starlink. Look at the posts of @ikamalhaasan & @kapoorkkunal to understand the mood of the people across India. You can never bully your way in amid healthy competition or genuine/serious security concerns. Won’t help.

The Chinese migrated in large numbers even as China developed. Taiwanese migrated in large numbers as Taiwan developed. Same with South Korea and before that Japan. My point is that development at a national level accompanies out migration of talent seeking better opportunities faster.

Indians have made a major contribution to America's technological prowess. Yet, a big part of America no longer wants us. I respect Mukesh sir and Elon Musk a lot. I respect the Indian military more. The Starlink and Jio debate started as a fight over how satellite spectrum is handed out. A few things stand out to me. 1. A satellite covering a whole region means worries about signal spillover near sensitive areas. 2. India's conditions are strict. Data stays in India, and agencies get real-time monitoring. 3. Where our data sits will matter more every year. Data is the new oil. I don't think anyone is wrong here. Elon wants to bring his technology to a huge market. Mukesh sir's Jio brought data prices down so far that millions of Indians got online for the first time.
