People are mad because AI is trained by copyright theft and robs human creators of their due compensation. In a world of AI, we need traceability of training data and compensation for works used. Public opinion will turn when everybody shares in the benefits.
Some people proudly say they’ll never use AI. But they use platforms powered by AI, search engines powered by AI, and smartphones filled with AI features. Apparently, AI is only a problem when someone else uses it to create something.

Full model collapse is unlikely but it will get worse. Humans should be compensated for the content they create that trains AI.
I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.

Reminder, artists have a valid reason to be upset about Gen AI. While this has been extensively explained, it has also been regularly ignored. It's difficult to have good faith conversation with Epic's AI future in games, when they betrayed artists trust by selling out our data.
Hard to force AI to stop, but the laws exist to force compensation for copyright. Finchproof is here to begin that conversation
If someone keeps telling you "you better adapt or else you will get left behind" for 4 year straight, it really comes off more like they're trying to convince themselves rather than trying to warn you. Especially when the "skill" is just typing a sentence to ask for something.

Why are AI guys so scared of transparency. Don't they want freedom of information? Don't they have trillions in corpo & vc backing? Don't they want to show just how much everyone loves it, how powerful & great it is & how only a small insignificant group is pushing back? 🤔

@michael30909628 @Starpawp yes, so shouldn't the people that make the work that the AI trains on get compensated for that? if they don't, then people stop creating new things for AI to train on, and the damn thing cannibalizes itself and we just get AI trained on AI
