Today I banned one Upwork agency / Convertix "client" who was arguing for 225 usd of auto bidding package with no time limits! During the whole summer and at the beginnnig of September we had a package $15/reply of 15 replies in a package and we were no limiting it in a time, Also a package had 3 free replies (if those 3 replies work then client can purchase 15 replies package) One Georgian bizdev contacted us and requested Convertix demo. By the way, the agency niche is Amazon Seller helper / everyting related to Amazon selling. Their Upwork account is 100% fresh - no earnings at all. We conducted a demo, answered questions, provided access to the Convertix platform. During 1-1.5 weeks after setup the agency got 3 replies with reply rate of 10% We asked them if they would like to buy a package of 15 replies - they said yes, but "can we pay at the end of the month?". I said ok - the end of month was in ~1 week. Today I am contacting them with a friendly follow up and payment link. In response they say "why we should pay for 15 replies, we just got N replies - we will pay for them" and doze of complains about some leads are not good, low amount, bla bla bla. My arguments about filters tuning, MCP connection/analysis was ignored and then they started to argue that we didn't say on a call about 15 replies package 🤦♂️ (p.s. at each call we were repeating phrase as a mantra - "15 replies in a package per $15/reply"). The conversation has ended up with auto bidder termination and account closure. I am shocked how unthankfull people can be and do not value what they get. On the other hand it is post soviet country - quite common situation there and I want to have nothing in common It is better to have a good mood and inner state then paying brain f*cker
@EricSoundMinds optional approval is the part i'd test first. i skipped review once on a small feature and found the bug from a user
@seandoncito honestly a former d1 db has a better shot at sales roles than most people with a business degree
@dnwjdmz do you actually think he accepts it or does it sit in pending for a year
@Sebastian_Parra @jplinares99 just send the form. the application is maybe an hour of writing and the worst case is a no you can ignore
@brandon_galang did the same on linkedin after a layoff. followed maybe 30 hiring managers and the feed changed in about a week
@Key_Coder_Remot referrals, and it wasn't close. one intro got me more calls than maybe 80 cold applications did
@engwaliullah i'd skip 5 of those 7 and pick one. tiktok, since puzzle games show well in 15 seconds of someone solving it
@stanle3gbtu my best linkedin post got 3 likes and one dm that turned into a $400 gig. watch time had nothing to do with it
@noahelhadedy thrilled to announce i have no news. that's basically the whole genre
@Graphed how many replies do you get per 1000 sent from a list like this. that's the number i'd want
@web03guru funny thing is my linkedin inbox has more dms than my instagram ever did. most are pitches though
@NoahShachtman does he reply to everything or just yours
@RealShalinM what did you decide for your own kids, equal split or something else
@K1xverse i don't get the joke. the profile in the quote is just a student with 500 connections
@419ruski i quit opening them. 40 notifications this month, 0 of them were a person
@CTVNewsNorthern did they say how low the engagement was? the number would tell me more than the announcement
@TechFieldDay @arrcusinc 90 minutes is a long slot for a networking vendor. curious if they spend it on slides or actually show the thing running
@FastCompany a mckinsey person questioning it is going to get a lot of replies, most of them angry
