Claims his spend is $21k and 1 day later… @jmutrades reveals a screenshot that @lanto_trades accidentally posted and deleted, showing he was actually on account number 819. I used to look up to @lanto_trades. Hell, even earlier this year I tried to run up a ton of $150k prop accounts thinking “if he can profit $5k a day, why can’t I”? Here’s the incontrovertible truth. His spend is astronomical, and his ROI very likely net negative. But he gets to post that P&L and sell the lie, which sells the discord memberships, which sells the affiliate sales. Getting him a spot on @NinjaTrader TV. Accolades and praise for trading acumen that is really just gambling. THAT is how he got rich. Peddling a falsehood. He is by no means the only one in the space who is doing this. It doesn’t take much to realize who those people are. Time to wake up and hold these guys accountable.

this will be my last post on the matter. read it. it's important. lanto opened this up. he renamed his vest accounts so his screenshots showed accounts 41 to 50 when he was on account 819. he told someone he spent "$21k" when it was around $300k. then he admitted on video, "i completely understand how this could have been misleading." the P&L was real. the cost behind it was hidden, and those posts were selling code SMART and his discord. 3 firms cut ties with him within hours. and it's the same playbook across the group. the live logins i've seen only ever show the 1D view. big green days get posted, the red days and the account spend don't. then it's affiliate codes, and now dhesitrades.com, where you leave your name, number and email and "a team member will reach out to you" about an application-only program. one guy doing this is one thing. this is a group with 230k+ followers across X, youtube and instagram between them, tied to the same affiliate company. smart prop firm says it has 20k+ active traders, and vest says lanto's commissions ran through a code shared with brian and dhesi. every road points beginners the same way: a discord, code SMART, a sales funnel. that's not one bad post, it's a business model. this is exactly what the FTC and state attorneys general go after. section 5 of the FTC Act bans deceptive marketing, and an ad can be deceptive even if you never meant it to be. posting payouts while leaving out what it cost to get them can count. so can pushing a code without saying you get paid on it. every state has its own version of that law, and AGs enforce it: - in august idaho's AG settled with justin werlein of tactical traders. his ads said he went from delivering pizzas to $700k+ in trading profits, then he admitted he never made a profit. he's barred from running a similar business and has to refund customers. - the FTC and nevada's AG sued IM Mastery Academy in 2025 over trading earnings claims aimed at young people. - warrior trading paid $3M after the FTC said its "results not typical" disclaimers didn't fix its earnings claims. beginners are the ones buying the evals, paying for the discord and filling out the form. that's who these laws protect.

@cosmo25x @TheStonkDad Bought the lifetime sub years ago. I do my own trades 99% of the time. I check the discord after my own take. Truthfully speaking when we are on the same page they tend to take a bigger profit. When my take is opposite I take a decent green while the sub took a loss or even 2.

@TheStonkDad Been in it for a few years. When the market was popping his trades were profitable I can vouch for that. When conditions are bad he is losing like the rest of us. Burn and churn is the only reason he can be profitable when the rest of us are getting stopped out on his takes.

@DaveTradesOpts @jmutrades @VestExchange The accounts matter because he’s giving the illusion all you need is to get a few payouts and scale up indefinitely from there. But that’s not the case because he’s spending THOUSANDS fullporting evals which is only possible from his discord subscriptions.

🚨PSA: Don’t fall for this furu bullshit. Huge profits. Huge payouts. Problem is the spend behind them is often obfuscated. Influencers are changing the account names that show how many accounts they've burned through. Typically they just hide the number. This time they are actively changing the account name. On Vest, every account is numbered, so your 5th account shows up as “Account 5” with a 5 in the icon next to it. There’s also an edit button that lets a trader change the account name, and once it’s edited, the icon shows an “A” instead of the real number, even if the new name still reads like a regular account number. Most people scrolling past an influencer’s screenshot would never notice that “A.” And if every account already comes named with its number, why would anyone edit the name just to make it look like another account number? Is that the actual account number? Doubtful. Below is a screenshot from @lanto_trades with edited account names. Not unexpected. 🧵

Another chance to… start another war? add another $4 trillion to the debt? spy on Americans w/o a warrant? fund a genocide? keep the Epstein files hidden? send more weapons to Ukraine? Usually when someone asks for another chance, they tell you what they’d do differently.
