The state of the music industry right now is exhausting. My biggest issue is how everyone has become a music analyst or critic, including listeners, but instead of judging the music itself, they base their opinions on streams, awards and other vague metrics Critiquing the actual sound and product is a good thing. It helps artists reflect, improve and grow. But using streams to determine how good a song is makes no sense when we all know that commercial success doesn’t necessarily reflect musical quality Another thing that bothers me is how everyone now seems to have access to artists backend Spotify data and metrics. I genuinely don’t think listeners need that much access to such information

If you're a music producer, don't just sell beats. Help artists find their sound. If you're an audio engineer, don't just mix tracks. Help artists communicate their vision. If you're a songwriter, don't just write lyrics. Help create records people remember. Become valuable beyond your job title.

working 40 hours a week and STILL being broke is insane. 😭 one check goes to rent, the other goes to bills, groceries cost an arm and a leg, and your days off are spent catching up on everything else. they keep saying work harder, but how much harder can we work when we’re already giving up most of our lives just to survive? we’re not asking to be rich, we just wanna LIVE without stressing about money every damn day. 💯

Queen JLo's booty showww🍑🍑 #jlo @JLo

🔥JENNIFER LOPEZ WAS 43 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE FILMED THIS SCENE. AND YES, THAT’S REALLY HER! The year was 2013. The movie was Parker, starring Jennifer Lopez alongside Jason Statham. And J.Lo was about to deliver a scene that would have people talking more than a decade later. In the film, Statham’s character suspects she might be wearing a wire and tells her to undress. What follows is the now-famous scene you’re watching in this clip. But here’s what makes it even more interesting. Jennifer was 43 years old, a mother of twins, and already more than two decades into an extraordinary entertainment career. And despite her confidence on screen, Lopez later admitted she was incredibly nervous filming the scene. Her heart was racing, and once filming wrapped, she reportedly rewarded herself with McDonald’s! Think about her career for a moment. 🔥 She went from being a Fly Girl on In Living Color to portraying Selena on the big screen. 🔥 She became the first woman to have a No. 1 album and a No. 1 movie in the United States simultaneously. 🔥 She gave us that unforgettable green Versace dress in 2000. 🔥 And years after Parker, she was still commanding attention with Hustlers, her Las Vegas performances, and the Super Bowl halftime show. Some Hollywood stars have a moment. Jennifer Lopez had an entire era. And somehow, she kept extending it. Love her or not, you can’t deny the discipline, confidence, and sheer determination it takes to maintain that kind of career for decades. And here’s something else worth remembering: At 43, Hollywood was already treating plenty of actresses as though their best years were behind them. Jennifer Lopez clearly didn’t get that memo. Was J.Lo at her absolute peak in this 2013 clip or do you think she doing even better in her 50s?👇 x.com/nocontxtvd/sta…

Steve Harvey's ex-wife got $40,000 a month, a $1.5 million lump sum and three houses, according to a court document his side released. She says she got 10 checks. Mary Harvey married him in 1996. Their son Wynton was born in July 1997. The divorce was final in November 2005. In June 2007 he married Marjorie Bridges. The terms, from the document his camp released in February 2011 with a Texas judge's permission: she was paid $40,000 a month until March 2009, then a $1.5 million lump sum, and she was awarded three homes in the property settlement. The court record: February 2011: she posted YouTube videos saying he left her homeless and broke. A Collin County judge ordered them taken down and barred her from talking about him online. December 2013: she was jailed for 30 days for contempt after breaking the gag order. May 2017: she sued him for $60 million, alleging "prolonged torture with the infliction of severe mental pain and suffering." December 15, 2017: a Los Angeles judge dismissed the suit. Her side: she says the $40,000 payments did not start until 2009 and stopped after 10. She says the $1.5 million was what he paid for her half of their ranch, "way below what market was." She says she was later given 30 days to leave a house she had been awarded, and that he sold it and "kept all the proceeds." The case for Steve: the 2011 court found her claims were not true, and he had primary custody of Wynton. His lawyers called the $60 million suit "merit-less, frivolous and the allegations are completely false." The case for Mary: she was with him before the TV shows, "in the trunk of the car with him," she says, and the numbers the public has seen come from a document his camp released. In the video below she says: "I literally sold him my half of the ranch for $1.5 million. That's what I did. And that's the only money that I walked away from 16 years of marriage." Did Steve Harvey pay his ex-wife fairly, or did she walk away from his fortune with 10 checks?

Want to learn from somebody in the music industry? Stop approaching them like they owe you FREE game. 😂 Bring value. Respect their time. Pay for their time. You’re not paying for information . you’re paying to shorten the distance between where YOU are and where they’ve already BEEN. 🎯

Damon Dash listed $4,350 in assets and $25.3 million in debt. Creditors just bought the rights to his life story for $550,000. He co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay-Z and Kareem "Biggs" Burke. In September 2025 he filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Florida. The petition put his debts at $25,303,049.47 to as many as 49 creditors. About $19.1 million of that was taxes. About $648,000 was domestic support for Rachel Roy and Cindy Morales. His assets: $100 in cash, a $500 cellphone, and two guns worth $750. In August 2024, his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella was auctioned to the New York Department of Taxation and Finance to cover tax debt. Then the trustee, Traci K. Stevenson, told the court he had not listed his life rights among his assets. She argued that a person's name, image, likeness and life story are transferable property. The court record: On October 1, 2026, those rights went to auction. Everlasting Films LLC won at $550,000. The opening stalking horse bid was $37,000. Backup bidder Doug Peters stands at $500,000 if the deal fails to close. The package: exclusive worldwide life rights, about 100 hours of video, photographs, memorabilia, and an unreleased documentary project. The money goes to his creditors. He gets none of it. A final approval hearing is set for October 27, 2026. In the video below, on an earlier Roc-A-Fella auction, Dame says: "This was my auction. This is my life." The case for the creditors: he filed with $25.3 million in debt and $4,350 in assets. The trustee said the life rights had clear value and had been left off the schedule. Chapter 7 sells assets to pay what is owed. The case for Dame: he spent years telling artists to own their masters and their story. The buyer now owns how he got here. Everything after the September 2025 filing still belongs to him. Who should own the story of a man who built Roc-A-Fella: the creditors he owes, or the man who lived it?
