Season review: Good: Top 50k finish Bad: So busy at work I had to let this account go dead. Do wonder if I was saved from overthinking by being too busy. I am usually a bit lower than that. Very much hope to be back next year if I can.

My new rules for myself: -No triple ups. -No more than 4 players per fixture. -Captain and VC in different fixtures. -No bringing in players in teams or opponents with COVID issues. -Full 15 playing squad (2 near min cost 4.4-4.5m and 2 GKs).

Werner's miss against Leeds yesterday recorded 0.89 xG on Understat. This was his worst recorded miss going back to 2014. His previous biggest miss was 0.76 Stuttgart vs. Werder Bremen in 2015. If was the 3rd highest xG generated from 521 shots.

The biggest weakness most serious FPL managers have is their failure to think probabilistically. I am going to unabashedly piggy back off ideas elucidated by @adamlevitan and @usgefuchst, but apply them to FPL. I think this most interests @ffscout_az and @FFScout_Mark🎲⬇️

The Daily Mail published this chart. 2 things about it struck me. First, I’d seen the same data from the ONS, which sadly showed excess deaths in recent weeks – in fact higher than any time in the last 5 years. But this chart purported to show just the opposite. First, the Mail:
