Hey @drewlevin i want to make sure this guy doesn't escape as I doubt his play will get flagged by the system. KROWZER#NA1 gave up after we didn't want to ff. His stats look fine but near the end he stopped fighting for obj and was on the opposite side of the map. Id: 5613774993

2 sentences about Kramnik and long paragraphs about ”friends that didn’t help”. I am in disbelief about this tweet.
Please @EmilSutovsky and @FIDE_chess do something about Vladimir Kramnik. Your actions now will be remembered from the chess world for years to come.
Do everything in your power to make sure justice is served. For Daniel Naroditsky, and all other people who become victims of cyber-bullying.
Amount of love given to Danya post-mortem is unprecedented.
I can't recall anything of the kind. But here is the problem - where all of you were when Danya was alive and unwell?
I am not talking now about stepping in when he was accused. Although it is a separate important
I’ve been quiet because I didn’t know how to put this into words. I heard the news about Danya early yesterday morning, and I still can’t believe he’s gone.
I’ve known Danya since we were kids. We became real friends in college, and over the years I had the privilege of working with him countless times. Everyone knew him as brilliant, humble, and exceptionally talented, but what stood out most to me was how deeply kind and selfless he was.
One memory that’s stuck with me: we were studying for a history exam together. He didn’t need to be there, he could’ve aced it without trying, but he stayed to help me anyway. At one point, he left his Facebook open and I thought it’d be funny to post a joke status that he was quitting chess (stupid, I know). The joke spread and upset a lot of people. He never told me. I only learned years later from someone else how much chaos it caused. He’d kept it to himself so he wouldn’t make me feel bad. That was Danya. Always putting others first, never needing credit for it.
The world, not just the chess world, lost a rare kind of light. Danya probably never fully grasped how much he positively impacted people, but I hope his legacy reminds us of it.
My deepest condolences to his loved ones. I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling right now.
RIP friend. If heaven exists, I know you’re there 🤍
In watching the clip below of Danya's last stream and hearing the pain in his voice, how deeply the baseless accusations affected him, I am left so mad at what we all allowed to happen right in front of us.
It's time to stop worrying about the backlash. I am calling on the FIDE EDC to remove Vladimir Kramnik from the FIDE record books, revoke his title, and disqualify his world championship. Chess is one of the most beloved games in the world and should be a place for kindness and inclusion. It should be unilaterally unacceptable to use a platform that Chess has given you to bully, harass, and slander a colleague. What Kramnik has done to David Navara, Hikaru, and Danya, and others can not be tolerated.
It is up to our community and the governing body to set an example that this type of behavior will have consequences. Make it known loud and clear that Chess stands against these hateful acts. If you do them intentionally and maliciously there will be no place for you in our game.
FIDE and it's EDC must establish clear policies moving forward around the safety of it's players both in person and digitally. The events leading up to this tragedy happened in broad daylight over the last 18 months. They could have been stopped. Nothing like this can ever be allowed to happen again.
The outpouring of love for Danny and the countless testimonials to the impact of his friendship, kindness, and love of chess from so many say more about the magnitude of this terrible loss than I ever could. A bright star forever in the sky. RIP.
It is with great sadness that the Kasparov Chess Foundation mourns the passing of GM Daniel Naroditsky, one of the brightest stars to emerge from our programs.
Danya’s talent, creativity, and love for chess inspired everyone who knew him, from students to fellow competitors.
Daniel Naroditsky (1995–2025)
Born on 9 November 1995 in San Mateo, California, Daniel Naroditsky became a prominent Grandmaster, author, coach and streamer whose influence extended far beyond the chessboard. He died just two weeks before his 30th birthday.
Chess entered his life at the age of six, when his older brother, Alan, brought several board games to entertain children at a party. Their father, Vladimir, an immigrant from Ukraine, taught them how to play chess. “I think a lot of people want to imagine that it was love at first sight and that my brother couldn’t pull me away from the chessboard… It was more of a gradual process, where chess slowly entered the battery of stuff we did to pass the time. A lot of my best memories are just doing stuff with my brother,” he told the New York Times in 2022, in an article announcing that he would be writing a chess column for the paper.

I've been sitting here numb for the past hour staring at this news. The world lost a brilliant man today. May his memory live on forever and may we always cherish his contributions to our beautiful game.
The Naroditsky family shares the sad news of Daniel’s unexpected passing. Daniel was a talented chess player, educator, and beloved member of the chess community. We ask for privacy as the family grieves.

@headphoneemoji no. tyler, frank ocean, anybody could all drop the same day as me and i'd be more than happy. I know that nobody's album does what vanisher does. if hypothetical releases made me doubt my album, then the album was never worth releasing. i'll be tuning in on monday tho :)
