The wifi password for Avatar Goggles X on FW 36.42.4 is '12345678' and there's a web UI at http://192.168.42.1/. Merry pwnmas folks, have fun.

A little birdie told me DJI's next goggles (zv902) will have stereo passthrough cameras and a new low bandwidth communications link between the goggles and RC. Excited to see what they do with these capabilities. Artists impression courtesy of @madrc1.

New WS Goggles - Broadcom AP6256 for Wifi and Macrosilicon MS1858E for analog in confirmed! Also looks like a Smartsens SC850SL based 4K cam is in the works. All still Artosyn AR9201 based, don't expect any major changes to the base system.

This took far too long to figure out, primarly due to chasing down dead ends. Some kinks left to work out, but we have a starting point for actually injecting stuff into the DJI GUI now.

DJI Goggles 2, O3 Air Unit and Avata got FCC filings today: fccid.io/SS3/amp. My (somewhat informed) speculation: 4K action cam and VTX combo, modular on Avata. FPV Goggles V2 are likely to stick around in some form. Expect an announcement sooner rather than later.

So, the Walksnail situation so far: FW not encrypted, Artosyn SDK + clearly rushed GUI implementation by Caddxslow. No DJI code involved. Targeting SoC codenamed "Sirius". Most probably fake markings on the package. Thanks @ydnubm for the teardown. More to follow.

Hot take: the Fatshark Dominators are Caddx's homebrew version of Gen 1 DJI tech, IP probably licensed - would wager running on a P1 like Leadcore SoC. Shark Byte all over again. DJI is moving on from that relationship with their next gen, to be announced soon.

The "FPV mini" will be called DJI Avata. FPV Goggles V3 renamed to just DJI Goggles 2 - compatible with regular drones? And new Air Unit pretty much confirmed. Source: latest Assistant build.
