Frederick Coleman @fredfor45

I've repeatedly said that community is extremely important to me and this campaign. That's why I'm proud that my campaign knocked on doors, and got petition signatures from, all 10 municipalities that make up this district. I was the only Democratic candidate to achieve this.

I attended the Chartiers Valley School Board meeting tonight to get a better understanding of the issues affecting our communities in the district. 🚌 It was great to hear concerned parents speak up and to see the sea of red in support of CV Education Support Professionals. 💪

I am filed!

A great last canvas of the petition season! Thank you to all the volunteers who attend this, and the various other events over the last two weeks.

Join us tomorrow in Kennedy to make this number even bigger! Beginners are welcome, we will train you!

My initial thoughts on the bus line refresh. Please give @PGHtransit your comments here: engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesig…

I am a product of public schools. My parents taught/worked at public universities. My grandmother was a public school teacher, who worked to unionize her school district. And that is my I’m proud that my campaign has been endorsed by the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers.

Thanks to the CMU Democrats for allowing me to attend their meeting this evening. Congrats to team fred for winning Jeopardy, unfortunately I was on team derf!

I'm honored to have won the support of the @YoungDems_AGH! I'm ready to bring some youthful energy to Harrisburg.

It is almost petition season! That means its time to collect signatures so that candidates can be on the ballot. We will be having a petition signing event on Tuesday Fed 17. Feel free to come by and sign if you live in District 45, or come by and learn how you can volunteer!

There is a new bill in the Allegheny County Council that would help protect our communities from ICE. Please contact your county councilperson and ask them to support this bill. I am asking my county councilman, Pat Catena, to support this bill.

As your constituent, I'm asking you, Councilman Catena, do the right thing. Say you'll support this bill, and do what you can to bring it to the floor.

Bus stops are still unusable throughout Allegheny County. This is what happens when you under-fund public transit.

Attended the vigil for Alex Pretti hosted by @SEIUPA last night. It was humbling to see so many people out in the frigid temperatures. ICE does not keep us safe.

Today is the 53rd anniversary of the Roe v Wade ruling. Let me be clear, I believe that women have a right to access healthcare, and government should not interfere in decisions between a woman and her doctor. If elected, I will always vote to protect a woman's right to choose.

“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” MLK reminded us that justice isn’t inevitable. There is still racism, poverty, discrimination, and war. The arc only bends when ordinary people stand up and do the work. That responsibility is ours.

Today I joined the Ice Out rally/memorial in honor of Renee Nicole Good who was killed at the hands of an ICE agent earlier this week. Sometimes the power of such a large group of people walking silently is more deafening to those in power. It was certainly powerful for me.
