Absent缺席/quē xi= not there e.g. The meeting had to be canceled because the boss was absent today.

Diligent勤勞 /勤劳 /qín láo=hardworking; industrious e.g. Mr. Davis is a diligent man, he produces the most quality work everday.

Aspect樣子 /样子 /yàng zi =manner; air; looks e.g. She seemed like the best candidate for the job in every aspect.

Fade蔫 /niān=wither e.g. After gaining fame in his childhood he faded into obscurity by his mid twenties.

Random任意 /rèn yì=arbitrarily; at will e.g. There was no pattern at all, it was all random.

Dread 憚 /惮 /dàn= fear; dislike e.g. Mr Chuang can easily tame a tiger but what he really dreads the most are spiders.
