No amount of training or understanding of mental health prepares you for losing a family member from it. I know how powerful the human mind is at convincing a person they are a burden. But I promise you never were and never will be. Always reach out. You are worthy of life

walking 50 miles throughout last winter for MIND Instead of asking for donations We all gave up our weekly treats and non essentials to donate the savings. In memory of their uncle Ryan who unfortunately took his own life last year. #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAwareness

After a close family member completed suicide last month, I wondered if I was doing the right thing by involving my children in the whole process, saying goodbye and talking about their uncle daily, but reading these posts are so reassuring! #GriefAwarenessWeek #SuicideAwareness

Reading up on the 2019 gov response "right to be heard" I'm not confident a mandatory e-learning training programme is going to solve the lack of understanding towards those with LD & ASC. After these newest scandals, developing understanding should be seen as a priority!
